About Emma Callahan

Emma Callahan is a Board Certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner from a small town in Missouri called Harrisburg. In 2015, she moved to Tuscaloosa, AL to pursue her bachelors degree in psychology and biology. Following undergrad, Emma attended UAB's Accelerated Masters of Nursing Program, which she completed in 2020. In January 2021, Emma began her nursing career at Northport Women's Pavilion where she gained experience in high risk obstetrics, labor and delivery, postpartum, nursery, and gynecological pre and post operative care. In addition to holding a staff position in women's health, Emma also has travel nursing experience in the same specialty. Upon completing several travel assignments, Emma came back to Tuscaloosa to continue her career at the Women's Pavilion for the duration of her nursing education. In December of 2024, Emma graduated with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a focus in Women's Health and a Subspecialty in Forensic Nursing.

Although she has a multitude of experience in women's health, Emma is now looking to expand her career as a provider at North Atlanta Women's Care. While Emma is passionate about all aspects of women's health, she especially prides herself in providing education to patients regarding their healthcare choices through the use of shared decision making. Additionally, she strives to provide appropriate and meaningful care to underserved populations who otherwise might not receive proper healthcare.

After 10 years in Alabama, Emma now resides in Flowery Branch, GA with her four Pomeranians. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exercising, going to concerts, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her dogs. Emma is eager to expand her career with NAWC and is honored to play a role in women's healthcare in the North Atlanta area.
